Subject: Nomenclature / Re-Structuring
of Maintenance Divisions of E&M Wing in Delhi
Jal Board
In supersession of all previous Office Orders issued on the subject cited above,
the Nomenclature / Re-Structuring of Maintenance Divisions of E&M Wing in Delhi Jal
Board is hereby ordered & notified as under:
1. Zones/Circles: - Delhi Jal Board shall continue to function under four Zones,
each headed by a Chief Engineer (Civil), namely: CE (West), CE (East), CE (Central
North) & CE (South). Each Zone shall be comprised of one Circle headed by SE(E&M) as
per existing regime. SE(E&M) shall be the in-charge of Zone for E&M related works & will
report to their respective Chief Engineers.

2. Divisions: -The existing 11 Divisions are restructured into 12 divisions at par
with 12 Circles of Civil Wing to ensure smooth functioning and to meet operational &
functional requirements of the department. Divisions are hereby designated as (E&M) M
01 to (E8&M) M-12, and their respective in-charges are styled and notified as EE(E&M) M
01, EE(E&M) M-02...... EE(E&M) M-12. The Executive Engineers shall be head of the
division who will be assisted either by Assistant Engineers(E&M)/ Junior Engineers (E&M)
or both as per functional requirements.
3. Sub-division: - Each division shall comprise of 2-3 Sub-divisions which is headed
by an Assistant Engineer/ Junior Engineer (E&M). In principle, each Sub-division shall
COver tWo Assembly Constituencies at par with Civil division ensuring coverage of 4-6
Assembly Constituencies per Division. Sub-divisions are styled and restructured as SM
01, SM-02 .....sM-34.

Rationalization of Jurisdiction of Divisions: -One new division is created as
EE(E&M) M-3 by splitting the EE(E&M) M-1 and EE(E&M) M-2 division, further Previously
known EE(E&M) M-3 has been changed as EE(E&M) M-4 and the number of remaining
divisions has been stepped up by one and accordingly structured as EE(E&M) M-3 to
EE(E&M) M-4... EE(E&M) M-11 to EE(E&M) M-12.
Proposed Structure: -The detailed nomenclature/ re-structuring of Divisions along
with jurisdictional Assembly Constituencies is enclosed as Annexure-I to this Office
Order.
